For decades, the Warren Rotary Club has operated on a simple motto: “Service Above Self.” Over the past year, our members have turned those words into tangible action across Warren County, investing directly in local youth and expanding accessible community spaces.
By investing in local students, the club demonstrates their belief that financial barriers should never stand in the way of education. This year, Rotary targeted critical support toward local students pursuing higher education by providing tuition support in fully funding course fees for a student attending Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC).
In addition, academic grants were provided for two local students attending Jamestown Community College (JCC). An incoming college student was prepared for the first year when the club assisted with essential dorm supplies and a living stipend to ensure a smooth, stress-free transition into university life.
Beyond the classroom, focus remained on creating inclusive spaces where every resident can gather and play. The long-standing support of the Lacy Park Multi-Sensory Playground has continued. Lacy Park is an all-inclusive, sensory-friendly park designed for children of all abilities and located on Madison Street, behind Shur Fine.
This includes pavilion repairs where funding was pledged and dedicated toward restoring the Lacy Park pavilion to keep it safe and welcoming for family gatherings. The Warren Rotary Club also spearheaded the extension of the park’s paved walking trail, allowing parents with strollers and residents using wheelchairs or mobility aids to comfortably navigate the grounds.
Everything accomplished by the club members is driven by neighbors, business leaders, and volunteers who care deeply about Warren. They actively welcome new members who want to give back, grow their professional network, and work on meaningful local projects.
